RC models receiver ExpressLRS BETAFPV Cyclone Nano 2400 RX, at 2.4GHz, long range with built-in PA (Power Amplifier) and LNA (Low Noise Amplifier) for significantly greater sensitivity and 100mW telemetry transmission
The Nano 2400 RX receiver of the Cyclone series from BETAFPV, operates at 2.4GHz and is based on the architecture and the open-source firmware of ExpressLRS. It uses the ESP8285 processor. You can upgrade the firmware either through USB pass-through via the Flight Controller or via WIFI, which is very convenient. Typically, you only need to turn off the remote control and power up the receiver. By default, the receiver creates a WiFi hotspot "LExpressLRSE" 60 seconds after powering up. Connect to the receiver's hotspot via WiFi from a computer or mobile phone. The key is "expressIrs". Then, through the IP address 10.0.0.1 in the browser, you can access the receiver's settings and upload new firmware.
The Nano 2400RX receiver differs from common ELRS receivers in that it has a power amplifier (PA) for 100mW telemetry transmission and a low-noise amplifier (LNA) for incredible sensitivity at long distances (long range). It uses an external T-shaped antenna (each antenna tested and verified at the factory for quality and durability).
Due to the low latency and high refresh rate of the ELRS Nano receiver, it is suitable for both FPV races and long distances (Long Range). Simultaneously, it is extremely lightweight and compact!
With this receiver, you can expect ranges and telemetry coverage of tens of kilometers. From our own tests with this specific receiver using 100mW power and 100Hz packet rate in the transmitter, we achieved successful signal reception and telemetry transmission at 14 km. We didn't have the opportunity to test at a greater distance, but we will continue testing in the future because we believe it can operate at much longer distances!
